Dormer Parents’ Association
The Dormer Parents’ Association exists for the benefit of all pupils and parents. Meeting regularly throughout the term, the DPA co-ordinate and provide support at school for both school and organised events.
The primary focus is to provide enjoyable social occasions to raise invaluable funds for ‘luxuries’ for the school, which would not normally be expected to come out of the school income. These funds also provide Christmas presents and leavers’ gifts.
We regularly organise Bake Sales, Ice-cream Fridays, Second Hand Uniform Sales, Film Nights and Discos.
Each class has a Class Parent who provides an awareness of the DPA within the year groups and co-ordinates support for school/DPA events. Class Parents are also responsible for arranging occasional activities, social get-togethers and purchasing Christmas presents.
All parents are warmly encouraged to become involved with the work of the DPA and offers of help and support at all events, and indeed suggestions for future activities, are always most welcome.
