Christmas at Dormer! – w/c 9th December 2018
It has been a very busy final week at Dormer and staff and parents alike have enjoyed watching the children showcasing their talents so creatively and with such confidence!
Our countdown to Christmas began on Sunday 9th December with Year 6 reading at the Christmas Tree Service at St. Edward’s Church in Stow-on-the-Wold:
On Monday morning, our Nursery Christmas Party was a huge success, with a surprise visit from Father Christmas, and in the afternoon, the whole school departed for a trip to the pantomime in Oxford!
On Tuesday, parents of the Nursery children enjoyed a nativity performance from some budding young actors and a chorus of angels, raising £79.55 for the ‘Community Awareness’ charity, and in the afternoon, the Lower School partied!
Years 4, 5 and 6 then moved up to St. Mary’s Church in Batsford for a wonderful evening of music, carols and verse – a magical service by candlelight!
On Wednesday it was time to fill the hall with hungry, excited children ready for crackers, Christmas turkey and chocolate orange Christmas pudding biscuits!
And finally, on Thursday, it was the Upper School’s turn to party!
Merry Christmas everyone!
